Why Superhero Movie Dialogue Is So Poor
I've never been much of a superhero movie fan. However, it has occurred to me that a potential reason the dialogue is so poor is because it is going to be dubbed in a ton of different languages. The intent needs to be clear in all of them, which leaves little room for nuance.
There's also something about trying to appeal to a global audience. The more people you're targeting, the less you want to deviate from the mean.
