The interesting part of this talk is how technology can give us a cognitive surplus, or simply free-time. While many may use that free-time to watch television, many more are using that time to create and share things on the web, whether it be programs, photos, videos or lolcats. Likewise, the most important outcome of the agricultural revolution was surplus free-time, which allowed people to invent, sculpt, paint, create. Are we amidst the next agricultural revolution? If so what will arise from world wide collaborative creativity?
