Skipping the 2016 MacBook Pro
I've decided to punt purchasing a Macbook Pro this year. I would have purchased, if they just updated the specs. Too many slight negatives.
Touch Bar is a negative.
Shortcuts are a better solution. It just makes simple, but often used actions like changing the volume a pain.
Price increase is a negative.
I was looking to spend $2,000 to $3,000 on a new computer. The new range is actually $2,500 to $3,500.
USB-C only is a deal breaker.
If there was one USB port, I probably would have purchased. No USB makes using the MBP too much of a burden.
Best case scenario is that USB-C is widely adopted by accessories next year. Maybe, Apple will also ship a 15" non-Touch Bar MBP?
