Slack's 2020 UI Refresh
I'm a fan of the @SlackHQ UI refresh. Search, Nav and History make sense together on their own. Plus it makes the channel details feel a lot less cluttered.
There is a compose button in the top left. I'm not sure I'll use it—but that may be out of my own habit. I would probably find the channel/person before composing.
