The new Instagram logo is getting a lot of hate. Honestly, I think it's a pretty sharp upgrade, while keeping the character of the original.Also nobody, under 30 knows how to read cursive anyways lol.

A strange trend I've noticed—recruiters putting #hashtags into recruiting InMails. Not sure if it's an automated message, but it sure feels that way.

Overall, I'm a pretty big fan of the new @twitter desktop redesign. The only thing that throws me off is the 'X' appearing in the top-left.

@ow Well, there's Light/Dark UI Toggling.Twitter's far from perfect, but outside a couple newsboards and subreddits it's probably my favorite social network.
@ow To be fair Twitter's current UI regularly receives updates. As a product, Facebook hasn't noticeably changed in years. The only thing that has changed is the addition of new notifications, which have made the product unbearable.

Initial impression of Vero—it looks like a lot of applications on dribbble with no context to how thing work.
Is @facebook running some experiment? News feed is empty, asking me to add friends. Perhaps, this is a way to get people engaged again?
This is an interesting new idea @Twitter is testing. Aggregating tweets about a single link.
I feel that @Twitter intentionally shows me tweets with like numbers that end in 9. That way I'm compelled to make it an even number and they see more engagement.

I wish there was a way to follow people on @instagram, but hide their stories. There are lot of people with great photos, but too many story posts.
One day I too hope to have my twitter rants printed in the @nytimes.

SnapChat's Story UI is intentionally (supposedly) difficult to use. I wonder if Instagram's stories causes them to rethink that decision?
The more time I spend on @Quora the more I like it. There are some especially good answers in the SaaS community.

Quora is quickly becoming one of my favorite social networks.
It's amazing how different r/politics is post-election. HRC's Correct the Record owned the conversation. Scary how effective it was.
Remember, it's important to get outside of your echo chambers every now and then—even step into those you disagree with.
There are no positive outcomes for trying to solve math equations friends post on Facebook or LinkedIn.

I'd love to see Twitter as a non-profit. Doubtful that we'll ever see it though.
I like reddit, but all the politics subreddits are trash. Everyone just reinforces each other, and ostracizes any dissenting opinions.

Twitter's problem is that they invented an incredible communication channel and have absolutely no way to monetize.
